Grad 12’s planning on going to BCIT check out the BCIT Entrance Awards. Information is on the bulletin board in counselling and available online. Valued up to $4000.00. Check it out.
Students planning to attend Vancouver Island University listen up! On March 19, through 25th there will be a number of events on campus for future students. Pick up an information card in the counselling office.
There will be a VIU Future student tonight, March 3 at the Beban Park Social Centre for future and soon to be VIU students, parents and guardians. It will run from 5:30-7:30.
Food Safe is being offered on Tomorrow, March 4 from 9 am – 3 pm, here at John Barsby. There are a limited number of seats available to any students wishing to take the course. Please talk to Chef Ludtke to register. The cost is $40.
All members of Bulldog Theatre are reminded that technical crew work begins this week on Wednesday and Thursday morning at 8 am. All members are welcome to attend, no experience necessary."
Fashion Show Tickets
John Barsby is having their first Grad Fashion Show this Thursday March 5th 7 pm in Chandler Hall. Tickets are being sold in front of the office at lunch this week and at the door. Come check out our Grads sporting the latest in the world of fashion. Tickets will be $10 and all of the proceeds with help fund the glamorous Barsby prom.
Red Cross training
Please can students who are interested in doing the Red Cross training on Thursday and Friday return their permission forms to Mrs. H in the counselling office ASAP.
Junior Girls Soccer
Any grade 8, 9, or 10 girls who want to play on the Barsby Junior Girls Soccer team please meet in Rm 211 (Ms Moslin’s room) at lunch on Wednesday
There will be shoot arounds on Wednesday mornings for all girls who want to play basketball. The first shoot around will be tomorrow morning at 7:30 am. Once again, girls basketball shoot arounds will start Wednesday morning at 7:30am. All girls are welcome.
Canadian Forces Aboriginal student Summer Employment Program
The Canadian Forces Aboriginal student Summer Employment Program info session is next Monday. If you want to turn in your application form to Sgt. Karmali when he arrives, Ms Flett will be available to help you after school Today in Room 203.
All students please return first semester library books and textbooks by Friday, March 13. Students will receive a cafeteria voucher for every overdue textbook returned! Thank you!
Anybody that still has not handed in their graduation write-ups for the yearbook, please hand them into the office before the end of the day.
