Student Registration for 2015

Registration for new students has begun. For more information about registration and deadlines visit the school district webpage www.sd68.bc.ca or click on this link ( http://www.sd68.bc.ca/wp-content/uploads/Registration-Information-Sheet1.pdf ) to see a detailed information page. Out-of-Catchment and out-of-district student applications for Barsby are due to our main office by Tuesday March 31st, 2015.    

Secondary Schools Semester Change and Exam Schedule 

     Friday, January 30th             Last day of regular classes for Grade 11 and 12 Students. 

     Monday, February 2, 2015                       Provincial Exams in Session

·         Grades 8,9 and 10 are required to attend regular classes

·         Grades 11 and 12 are not in attendance. 

     Tuesday, February 3, 2015                        Provincial Exams in Session

·         Grades 8 and 9 are required to attend regular classes

·         Grades 10, 11 and 12 are not in attendance. 

     Wednesday, February 4, 2015                  Provincial Exams in Session

  • YEARBOOK
    Graduating students are encouraged to provide a write-up to appear beside their photo in the Yearbook. Forms are in the office. Must be submitted no later than January 30.
     
    Cafeteria
    “Don’t miss out on poutine day this Thursday in the cafeteria. The cafeteria will only be offering limited service on Friday as we will be emptying the cooler for semester change.”
     
    Teen Centre
    The Teen Centre at the Boys and Girls Club is going to watch student plays at VIU this Thursday and they are taking a group to the Nanaimo Clippers game on Friday! Each event is ONLY $1. If you’d like to attend any of these events, please meet at the Boys and Girls Club on Fifth Street at 6pm this Thursday or Friday. Please note parent permission is required to attend.
     
    Timetables
    Please check your timetable for second semester.  If you want to make a change, please come to the counselling area and make an appointment to see a counsellor.  All changes must be made by Friday.

PLC Sessions - Early Dismissal for students

Students will be dismissed from school one-hour early on the first and third Mondays of the month, including: January 5 and 19; February 16; March 2 and 16; April 20; May 11 and 25.

 

Note for bus students - the school bus schedule runs one hour earlier on PLC early dismissal days
